Redress

The Diocese of Bendigo values the opportunity to participate with those who have been abused by people associated with our church to find redress. We commit to doing so transparently and in good faith.

We are committed to providing ways for you to have your claim heard and your need for redress met.

There are two ways that you can do this.

  1. The first way is through the Commonwealth Government’s National Redress Scheme. As part of the Anglican Church of Australia the Diocese of Bendigo has committed to participate in the National Redress Scheme. You can find out how this scheme operates and how to apply for redress under this program at www.nationalredress.gov.au or by phoning 1800 737 377.
  2. The second way that you can progress a claim for redress is through Kooyoora Ltd. Kooyoora is an independent organization which manages claims for redress involving the Diocese of Bendigo.
